Who We Are
"Canadians For Family Law Reform" came into existence in April 2011. We are a group of individuals consisting of men and women who are discouraged with the Family Law legal system. What appears to be simple matters are taking years in court to be dealt with and finalized. These cases are taking vicious tolls on people both emotionally and financially. With that, we became a support and watchdog group sending our complaints to the Law Society of Upper Canada and to the Attorney General’s Office.
We believe there is a system in place that is supposed to be beneficial for parents and children, however the system isn’t working. Instead, it is creating extreme hardships.
With the current system, some cases are costly, can take years to be dealt with in court, and can bring out the worst by sometimes fabricating the truths pitting one parent against the other which is breaking down family relations.
It is our opinion that being caught within an adversarial system, the innocent children are reaping the negative effects.
